The Outside Office

A few pics from around the bazzars today. JSMT group on a basic kyak course with instructor Steve Perry RM, while in more formal attire some lads get a taste of abseiling with a GPMG or SA80 down a rather shitty loose slate quarry. Such is life for me on a daily basis of working for the MOD, running my family who are running my bike shop and trying to race bikes (and catch salmon). Thank goodness the fishing is poor at the moment or I wouldn't get any sleep. In the bike shop I have some very good road wheels by Fulcrum and some smart Alpina helmets on special offer..............

Local Competition

If folks want a wee challenge then the online and smartphone app www.strava.com  is a great resource covering most of the world and lots of Scotland.  You can compare times against other folk if competative or just record your own rides or runs as a log.  As a free resource it's very good but the premium version is also well worth considering due to the detail.  I have logged a few climbs and no doubt they will get flogged as I am an old git!  Enjoy the suffering!
