Jason MacIntyre Memorial TT

Great day for yesterday's TT with a field of over 70 riders some of whom are UK champs. Good result for Fiona getting 3rd Vet lady on standard and a prizefor best dressed cyclist. I was happy with 20th on Standard and 33rd overall. Pictures showing the overall winner with a time of just over 21m Jim Cuisack Glasgow Wheelers, Fiona as Vet lady, and Female junior winner Mary Eaglsham from Ross Roads CC.

Saturdays Training

An easy day on Saturday where the pics are from, as Fiona and I had a big race on Sunday. Sundays race was unusual, with a 15 mile 2 lap combination of the new and old XC courses and some gnarly downhill type stuff thrown in for sport. Cycling up the middle part of the new worlds XC course was hellish, as it came after the "lazy K" each time. I was around 65mins and about 8th out of 30 and Fiona was first lady on the 10 mile short course.

Morvern Cycle Run

Great trip round the penninsula in the sun with Fiona, Colleen and Andrew. 44 miles in 2hr 50m Ferry to Ferry. A stunning trip with some of the best views my own favourite being the bay and church at Kingairloch before the 1,000 uphill to Liddesdale then 40mph+ down to coffee and cake in Strontian.

TT Season Begins

10 miler last night with field of 26 riders. I came in at 25.36 for the 10 which was well outside my PB but on for the first one putting me in the top 5. Fiona was first lady at 29.32 and did well.

It was good to see everyone there. Glad that my wee hire buisness has not upset the applecart. As it shouldn't as none of my custom would have dreamt of catching a bus into Ft Bill as most folk were on foot. Final of the winter league this weekend then a local TT and then the Jason MacIntyre/SCU TT then the Belach Sportiv. A busy spell on the pedals in the offing !

20 miles XC then Carrot Cake

A great ride today with 20 miles of good technical and nearly 4 hours of riding. Carrot Cake & Coffee at the bike shop and the sun was out. It doesn't come that much better - unless of course you can get to Whistler!

Inside the Shed/Shop

Working on bikes while the family hires out. Getting some trade now and selling some new bikes.

North Argyll Cycle Club

Based around North Argyll, which is this part of Lochaber - NACC is a really good bunch of folk. Lots of events both on and off road, and a lot of folk who use the events for a social or as part of a fitness plan. For example at the duathlon there were a big contigent of families in all groups as well as supporters. A club well worth joining. http://www.nargyllcc.co.uk/
