A couple of weeks ago a massive wet slide came off Ben More Crainlarich taking sheep and deer down with it as well as tons of rocks. Sadly last weekend Jimmy Elliot a local shepherd lost his life when a massive rock approximating 3 tons fell on him while pulling out a sheep carcass from the tip. Sad news for a small community. The scale of the initial wet slide can be seen below as well as other activity on the mountain earlier in the month showing the snow build up and a slide triggered by a tourer.
